Well, our fun 10 days of excitement have come to an end-Courtney is currently on a plane headed back to Utah. We had so much fun with her and got completely worn out. Besides all of the fun places we went to visit and all the things we did to keep us busy all day, it was fun to catch up with her. Hopefully she had as much fun as the girls and I did. Thanks so much Jake for sharing her with us.
One thing that we took the time to do was catch me up on a bunch of chick-flicks. Steve's not too into chick-flicks, so I have gotten a little behind-we watched some really good ones. So, incase you're as behind as I am, here is a brief list of what we saw...
The first one we watched was "Miss Potter." Steve's parents gave this to us for Christmas but I hadn't opened it yet. It is the story of how Beatrix Potter became such a renowned author and the story of her love life. It was a little depressing, but really cute...just the way a good chick-flick should be, right?
Then the next night we watched "Becoming Jane." This one had a lot of similarities to "Miss Potter." It's kind of frustrating for me to watch these movies set so many years ago because the girls back then were taught to not think for themselves and their only purpose was to get married and let a man tell her what to do. Jane (and Beatrix Potter for that matter) didn't live this way-go her!!! It was also a good one, a little depressing, but good.
We kept the Netflix coming...we also got "No Reservations." I am beginning to notice a major theme of these chick-flick movies. They like to have a cute, sappy, somewhat silly story line, but they always manage to throw in some depressing story with it. Hmmmm....I'm not sure if I like that.

Another one we got from Netflix that I really liked was "Stardust." It was such a different movie than I expected...especially seeing Robert Dinero dancing around in a girdle and pink feather boa! This is one that I would suggest you see. Thanks Corrine for suggesting this one.
One more movie that we watched-not quite as depressing as the other three was "Just Like Heaven." I had seen this one, I just love it. I you haven't seen it-you better go rent it...NOW!I hope I'm all caught up on the must sees-if you know of any others, please let me know, I really enjoyed watching these movies.
Anyway, I strayed way off subject there, sorry about that. All in all, we had a great time with Court and hope that more of you (you know who you are) can come out and visit us and we'll run you around as much as we did with Courtney. Thanks again Court for coming and keeping us company!

Ooh, thanks for the suggestions. I've been looking for material for C.N. and I'd been thinking of the b. potter one. Looks like you had a great time.

Looks like fun! But I hate when it all has to end. Dane's been asking about Abi everyday, so we'll have to get together this week.
I love Stardust and Just Like Heaven , too! I need to catch up on my chick-flicks also, my Steve isn't into them either. Thanks for the reviews on those other ones, I still need to see them.
