Lloyd family Christmas Party

*Well, either this computer or blogger has quit on me, so I can't get anymore pics on here, I'll try again later*

Sunday we hosted a Christmas party for my family. We're getting so big that it's hard to have any sort of an organized gathering at my parent's home now. Luckily, we have a great social room here that we have taken advantage of.

It was so much fun to have a full on party with just our immediate family. We started the evening off with a great dinner-everyone contributed and it was DELICIOUS!

After dinner we had grandpa read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to all the kids. They loved listening to him read. Kat had to be the official page turner since dad is one handed right now-still recovering from his shoulder surgery.

Then we let the kids make an ornament for their Christmas trees with pictures of themselves in them. They turned out really cute! This was something that we made as kids, so it's fun to now have one of our own kids.
After that, Kat had planned a freeze dance game for the kids. She turned on the John Denver and the Muppets Christmas CD and the kids went crazy. Once the music stopped they would freeze...they thought it was so fun! It was great to watch them, all the kids, even the youngest 3 were getting into it.
After a yummy dessert of pumpkin cake and brownies we took our annual family on the stairs Christmas picture. This is another tradition we have done since we were kids. I love how this pic turned out!

Grandma and Grandpa did stockings for all of us (even the adults). The kids went nuts, they thought this was so fun to get to open them early! Thanks mom and dad!
We also did our sibling and cousin gift exchange at the party since we probably won't all see each other on Christmas. There were some great gifts. My girls both got Super-Hero capes from their Prestwich cousins that they absolutely LOVE! They put them on and start running around in circles and giggling the whole time. Thanks Corrine for the great gifts! Kat and Darin had Steve and me and gave us some great emergency preparedness stuff. We need this stuff so badly, we are a disgrace to the emergency preparedness world!

Then, the icing on the cake of the evening was when none other but SANTA came!!!! The kids went CRAZY! (Thanks again Gerry!) They each took their turn sitting on his lap-or standing near him-and telling him what they wanted for Christmas. It was great!
It was such a fun night that I hope becomes a tradition for our family!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
