It has began! And we are loving it!!!
Abi, my BIG fIRsT GraDeR, started school on Monday, August 27th. She was so excited that she just could NOT wait! The week before school she started to get a little nervous about being gone all day long and missing me (aaahhhh, sweet!) but she quickly got over that and was ready to go!
She picked out her outfit, her hair-do, and what she wanted for lunch and then she was off!
She didn't even look back getting on the bus, I think that's her favorite part of the whole day!
Emma was SUpPOSeD to start Kindergarten that same day but instead we spent the night before in the ER!!! She came into our room around midnight with this awful fever and a really bad cough. More importantly, she couldn't breathe very well! So after being diagnosed with Croup accompanied with stridor breathing, she had to have some steroids, lots of tylenol and Ibuprofen and lastly, a breathing treatment with epinephrine followed by 2 more hours being observed by the doc to make sure she was breathing ok...LoNG NiGhT!
Long story short, she wasn't able to start school on the first day-BUmMeR!!!
(This is how she wanted to sleep-head in my lap and feet on the bed...SO Comfy for mommy!)
But then by Tuesday she was like a whole new person (just with no voice) and wanted to go to school.
She didn't look back either (and I really wanted her to so I could get a pic of her getting on the bus!)
Such brave girls I have!
She made it there and back and was ALL smiles by the time it was over!
Other than Emma not wanting to go to school eVErY day (she liked the preschool arrangement where you go every other day) things have gone really well so far! I hope the rest of the year ahead of us goes as smoothly.

Croup is scary! We had that whole treatment thing with Sydney when she was a baby.....so glad Emma recovered so quickly! They are so cute! We miss you all!
