On October 6th we flew out to Utah so that we could attend Steve's parent's mission farewell. They have been called on a Public affairs mission in "The Pacific." Pretty cool! Their mission home is in Auckland, New Zealand but they will be traveling around the Pacific. Steve told me they even have a trip to Fiji already scheduled...so jealous!
The most stressful part of traveling for me is always the flying part. Not because of the actual flying, I love flying. It's the fact that Steve and I are in charge of 3 little people that are going to be locked in this tight space for 5 LONG hours. How do I keep them happy, entertained, and quiet??? Always the predicament. I always over plan, over stuff their backpacks with toys and treats and I ALWAYS over stress. They were so great just like they always are. I decided to do this post so next time we fly I'll remember that it's not as bad as I think it's going to be. They were all so wonderful on the whole flight!
We played with toys...
Some of us slept...
Emma drew pics of Grandpa Lloyd
and Grandma Lloyd...what do ya think????
They played with my phone and took about 200 pictures
And the best part??? Well, since we're so slow and we had so much stuff to pack up when it was time to get off the plane we were the last ones off. We got up to the front of the plane and the pilot asked the kids if they wanted a tour of the cockpit! HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?
Plus it was Jason's actual birthday, what a treat for a 3rd birthday!
So we survived the trip TO Utah! It was great and I'm even tempted to maybe try it with just the kids and I next summer so we can maybe stay for more than a week...Maybe....
