Tryin' to Beat the Heat

It's been HOT around here the last few weeks. We'd been having such a nice pleasant summer and all of a sudden it got hot and humid. We've been finding ways to stay cool though...one way is just staying inside under our air conditioner. We're lucky-out here most of my friends only have window unit A/Cs, we were fortunate enough to find a place with central air-it makes such a difference on the muggy days.Emma tried hiding from it-didn't work too well!

The girls have been wearing all their light summer clothes, that helps a bit!

We've also been over to friend's homes to play in their little pools, Abi has such a great time doing this-she loves the water!

Jacob preferred to not wear a swimsuit, he didn't feel like swimming today.

Abi had fun playing with the big boys at this particular pool party-she had lots of fun with Dominick and Ryan turning this sandbox into a "mudbox."

We set up our little pool one day too, but it's like a puddle compared to the other pools, but she still has fun splashing around in it for a bit-anything to cool off. We even put Emma's feet in the water, but Abi kept splashing on her, so it didn't last too long.

These three, Dane, Abi, & Mason, played for hours yesterday-it was HOT!

Emma tried to stick it out too in the car seat-I kept trying to hold her, but it was way too warm, she'd get all sweaty and irritated. She was happy just to sit in her seat.

SOOO REFRESHING!!!Eventually you gotta take a break from the water and get something to eat, but then it's right back in the pool!It has been such a fun summer with Abi being bigger and wanting to do all these fun things. We've also been back to the beach a few times, but I forgot the camera-Oops!!!
