One day we decided to venture out of our house and away from the beach and go to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The lighthouse was pretty neat, I have never been that close to one before-plus they have it open inside so you can climb to the top. There are 248 steps, which they say is the same as climbing up a 12 story building. Because of this they won't let little kids that can't climb all by themselves do it. We split up in 2 groups to climb and the other group watched the kids.

Looks like Jake & Allison had their hands full while ths Arbuckles, Dillinghams and we went up.
It was a fun little adventure!
