Six degrees of Corrine Prestwich

I don't know if you have all heard of the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, but the theory is that anyone can find a personal link back to Kevin Bacon through six different people. Well, I have decided that my sister is the same way. She knows EVERYONE! I move clear across the country from her and she knows at least 4 families in my ward.

Have you seen this girl??? Probably!

When Steve and I first got married two of her best friends were in our ward, when we moved into the Brigham Apartments another one of her friends was in her ward. When I told her we were moving to Connecticut she says, "Jake and Allison are moving back there too!" and BAM-we're in the same ward, then the Stankiewiczs move in-guess what, Corrine knows Meredith. Then I get a call from Corrine and one of her neighbor's sister's in moving into our ward that she knows-the McMullins. Then today I went to take a carseat to someone that just moved into our ward-I get to talking with the husband and find out he grew up with Corrine's husband, Tim. So I said, he's married to my sister-"CORRINE!?" he replies-my heck-is there anyone that doesn't have a link to my sister? I bet not!

It is weird, I'm not sure how she does it!

Funny things the girls say...

Emma: "Mom, if you were invisible I could see the carrot in your head!" She's onto me, she knows I have a carrot for a brain!
Abi: "Look at all that snow! It looks like magic falling out of the sky!"
Emma:"The rich guy likes zucchini." Besides just being completely random, the funny thing about this is the way she says it, "Da Reech Guy likes zoo-kenny"
Abi:"Sometimes I start talking and I just can't stop!!" She told this to a friend of ours over dinner last week
I was making Emma lunch yesterday and said to her, "do you want a peanut butter or a turkey sandwich?" She told me she wanted a "Piece of butter sandwich with Yellow ketchup" aka: peanut butter sandwich with mustard. She's never had this combo before and I left the mustard off yesterday too-YUCK!
This morning I asked Abi what she wants to be when she grows up and she replied with, "A GROWN UP!"
Emma started climbing up on the back of our couch the other day and jumping down onto the seats. I told her to stop doing that and she yelled back at me, "GO SHOWER!!!" Makes me wonder what that girl is up to when I'm not watching her!
Abi needed a napkin and I told her she could get one out of the pantry and that they were on the bottom shelf on top of the box of silverware (plastic utensils-but I didn't think she'd understand that) and she turns to me and says, "it's PLASTICWARE."
Yesterday morning I was getting Emma out of her crib and Abi walked in and sadly said to Emma,"Emma, I sorry I'm too short to get you out."
We were in the elevator and it stopped at a floor before ours. Abi took a big step forward to get off and I told her that this wasn't our floor and not to get out. She turned to me and told me "Mom, I was just doing my MOVE!"
Abi came over to me humming "I Am A Child of God" and I said, oh, you hum so well. She quickly responded with, "I'm not humming, I'm doing the violin part!" Then she started the "violin part" over and led into the singing part. So funny!
Last night when I was putting Abi to bed she turned to me and said, "mommy, I love you because you're berry, berry, berry sweet!"
Yesterday I made pancakes for the girls for breakfast. Abi took her first bite and turned to me and said, "Well done!"
Me: "did you know that penguins eat fish?" Abi: "No, penguins eat poptarts!" Now she's sitting at the table trying to explain to her little penguin why he can't have his own poptart for breakfast.
On the way to the dentist this morning I told Abi that she'd do awesome. She started crying and said, "I'm sad cuz I'm NOT awesome!"
Abi: "Mom, you're a small creature." Thanks, I think...
Abi(after taking her clothes off one day), "mom, sometimes it's hard to be naked!"
