Salt Lake City Library

I have been wanting to go in and see the children's section of the Public Library in downtown Salt Lake since we moved down here. The library is so huge that I thought it must have a good kids section. I talked my sister Corrine into coming with us.

Our first stop was the HUGE wreath made of handprints-it was really cute. There were even some little tiny baby hands on it. Aubrey and Abi thought it was fun to put their hands on these hands.

Then we made our way to "Grandma's Attic." It was a room with lots of wooden beams made to look like and attic. It had books, a rocking chair, lots of stuffed animals, and LOTS of things to climb on. The kids had a great time in here as you can see.

Abi and Aubrey wanted to put on a puppet show for us-here is the doll that Abi wanted to use for her part.Here is the puppet show.This little ledge was Lydia's favorite spot-it was a pretty big drop off though, so Corrine had to keep saving her...Emma in the little cave.

Then we made our way out into this little courtyard that had a little "cave" and a fun wall with water running down it-it was a little chilly, but Abi loved standing in the spray coming off of the wall (I had a picture of it, but for some reason it wouldn't transfer off my camera).

The kids loved the wavy bench, I think this was their favorite thing in the whole library!

After all of this we found a table and a few books and sat down to look at the books. It was a fun place to go for an hour of fun. They have some story times too, I guess that will have to be our next adventure at the library.
