Saturday was a fun little activity that I have never been to before. At a nearby beach they had a fundraiser sandcastle contest. We decided to go check it out. It was quite crowded when we got there, so I wasn't able to get any good pics of any of the sand sculptures, but here's a pic of the crowd. If you look in the lower lefthand corner you can sorta see a lobster being built. It was fun to go see, but more than the sculptures, it was fun for our whole fam to get out and go to the beach together. Abi and I get to do so many fun things together during the week while Steve's working, so he misses out on a lot of the fun. We had a great time!!! He and Abi put their feet in the water, I'm too chicken because it's still COLD!!!
After their walk in the water Abi wanted to do some digging in the sand. She just loves to dig, but she kept trying to take other kids' buckets to put the sand in, so I guess I need to go get her a bucket before we go back to the beach.
What a wonderful day it was! Since we're nearing the end of the pregnancy, we probably won't be able to have many more days like this in the real near future, so I am so glad we were able to get out.
Happy Mother's Day!!!
I just wanted to wish all you moms and wonderful aunts out there a very happy (a day late) Mother's Day. I hope you all had a wonderful day. I had a great one! I think Steve switched Abi out with some other little monkey, she was so perfect at church. We are usually wrestling with her all through Sacrament Meeting and she was such an angel. She just sat there on the floor and played with her Magna Doodle and a little girl sitting in front of us. Plus next time we go back to our ward (next week is Stake Conference) Abi will officially be in nursery!!!! I can't believe she's that old, but we are excited for her to start in Primary, she's gonna love it!!!Abi and Steve gave me a rocking chair, which I have been wanting since Abi was born, so it will be so nice to have when this new little one comes. It was such a great day for me, I am so lucky to have those two in my life and I am so looking forward to adding another one next week (hopefully)!
Thanks you two, I love you!!!!
