HAVIN' SOME FUN!!!

Today was a pretty nice day and Abi was getting really cranky being cooped up so we decided to hit the beach. It's still too chilly to actually get in the water, but it was a perfect temp for playing in the sand and on the little play ground they have there. We went to the Norwalk beach, Calf Pasture. Last year all Abi wanted to do was sit and eat the sand, so it was a lot more fun today. We took a little shovel and she loved digging in the sand.

At one point she even thought it would be fun to start to bury herself. She didn't get too far, but she liked the way the sand felt on her leg-nice and warm!!!

Amanda, we even took your little friend, Miley, with us. I promise we haven't forgotten about her, we're still working on the project. This little outing got us one step closer.

I just love living this close to the ocean (well, the Long Island Sound). It is so fun and peaceful to go there everynow and then. I just wish is wasn't so rocky right down by the water line, makes it a little uncomfortable on the feet. After all of the fun on the beach we decided to hit the playground for a few minutes, but my back was killing me so we didn't last too long, but we did manage to get some swining time in...

A few other fun things...

The other day I was doing something around the apartment and I realized that Abi was being extremely quiet and I hadn't seen her for a few minutes so I decided to go see what she was up to...here's what I saw when I found her...

These pics don't quite do it justice...she had the stickers that Courtney gave her in her quiet book and was sitting on the floor peeling them off one at a time and finding an empty space on her to stick the sticker. I couldn't get her to put her water down to get a good picture, but you get the idea. So SILLY!!! I just love watching her explore and try out new things, everyday is a new adventure with this one.

One last thing...

I was watching Abi's little friend Jacob Martinez (I'm sure most of you know who he is...)the other day and the Backyardigans came on. Tyrone was sining a song about being a good Arabian Sultan and it broke in to some good dancing music, well these two little monkeys knew just what to do...they started swinging their arms and legs around, lettin' loose, it was sooo funny. I just wish I could show it to you as a video instead of a still photo, but it sure was cute!

Holy Cow! She is getting so big! I bet you are exhausted by the end of the day with that one!

Tell us about Miley. Does she get to go lots of places?

Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. We can't wait to see Abi again in person, but the pictures are fun for now.

Love you!

Amanda says thanks for taking Flat Miley to the beach! She was excited to see the picture when we pulled up your blog!

Give Abi a squeeze for us! Jill

I was showing Jenna the pictures of Abi and when we got to the Backyardigans dancing picture, her first comment wasn't about the kids. It was "Hey that's a new episode!" What have I done to my kids!!
