Did I do that???

In the famous words of Steve Urkel "Did I do that?" So, as most of you know, a few months after Abi was born I had to have my Gall Bladder out. In a weird way I kind of liked it because it helped me lose that baby weight since I had to change my diet a bit and I didn't have much of an appetite after the surgery.

So when I got pregnant with Emma I started joking that I'd have to have another organ removed after she was born so that I didn't have to exercise to lose that weight...well, Sunday night I woke up with horrible pain in my side and had to go to the ER. Turns out I had appendicitis (sp?) and yesterday around noon I had my appendix out. I must have jinxed myself, even though I was totally joking about wanting to have organs removed instead of exercising. So now I've decided I can't have any more kids because I pretty much need all of the organs that I have left inside of me. Steve has joked that I must never want to leave Connecticut because I am leaving pieces of me here. :)

Anyway, I had surgery yesterday and they released me to come home last night. We left the girls with the Martinezeseseses last night so we could get a full night sleep since we hadn't slept at all the night before since we were in the emergency room. And again, the Detlings saved us and came and stayed with the girls Sunday night. My sister, Corrine, caught the first flight she could find out of Salt Lake and arrived out here this morning. Steve and I are continually overwhelmed at the help that we keep receiving from friends and family, we are the luckiest people I know. I am not sure how we keep ending up in these situations where I need surgery, or the car breaks or we have a baby (although we do know how that one happened), etc., but we do know how we keep ending up being so blessed with all the help to get us out of these situations~So thank you AGAIN to everyone that has helped us out and called us to check up on us!
