Wrap up of Corrine's visit to lovely Norwalk

Corrine flew out tonight, our help is gone! We had such a great time with her this week, we are so glad she was able to come out and help with the girls and around our home while I was recovering from my surgery. I'm not sure how we would have made it through the week without her. And it was a bonus to have Lydia along for the ride.
Corrine's girls (Jenna and Aubrey) wanted sea shells as a souvenir, so one of the days she was here we headed to the Norwalk beach, Shady Beach. The weather was a bit overcast and not too warm, but Abi wanted to get in the water so bad, so we gave in and let her play in the ocean. Luckily, the sun wasn't out, so it was perfect weather for having the babies out there. We kept them in the stroller for a few minutes, but then we finally freed them from the cage...

Abi wasn't shy about getting in the water, she just trudged right on out there, even as the water got a little deep on her-you can see her bright shoes under the water :)Steve had fun skipping rocks out in to the water while Abi had fun finding rocks and just throwing them in the water. Lucky for Abi, the shore is just packed with rocks, so she had an easy time finding them.

Steve and Abi had a lot of fun playing together.Even Lydia put her toes in the water...I wasn't quite brave enough to do it, but Lydia and Corrine seemed to enjoy the nice cool water of the Long Island Sound/Atlantic Ocean.Emma and I were happy to just stay on the beach and enjoy the view of the cute people in the water. I couldn't get in the water since I'm still recovering from having Emma and not to mention the big "stab" wound in my side-I don't want any infections, so I decided to stay clear of the water. It was still fun though to get out and enjoy the nice day.Well, Corrine is headed home. We had such a great time with her and Lydia. It was really fun to have another visitor, none of our siblings have ever seen our place. I talk to Corrine on the phone a lot, but it's just not the same as being together. We also got to do some cooking together, she gave me some of her good cleaning secrets and she got to do a lot of fun things like all our laundry, make us meals, clean, bathe my children, and take Abi grocery shopping-what a vacation! We sure appreciated it though.

Corrine said she had a great time! I have to say I'm jealous that she got to see that baby! Can't wait to have you guys out here. Any plans yet? Did you also see that our boys have infiltrated our blog with their little 'gay game'... I guess they miss each other too much! Jill

Thanks again for having me! I had such s great time! It was worth a little house work in return. Ü

As my girls were fighting with eachother today I secretly wished I could have escaped to your place for a few minutes!

I hope you are feeling better and are getting some rest. Tell Steve good luck on his test on Friday!
