Celebrating our Anniversary

In honor of our Anniversary, Steve and I took a trip down to the city last Saturday all by ourselves. We hired a babysitter for the girls and were off for a stressfree day without the kids. We started the day with a trip to the Guggenheim Museum. They had a really weird art exhibit on display, but since we were there and had already paid for it, we stayed and looked through the whole museum. This picture is of the display they had hanging in the center of the whole museum-it was supposed to show what happens to a car in an explosion-not real accurate, but I guess that's art, right?

After the museum we walked across the street to Central Park and walked through it for a bit. It was beautiful, but very crowded with joggers, cyclists, walkers, and picnickers so we left the park to avoid all the crowds.

We had some time to kill before the restaurant we were going to eat at was opening, so we decided to act as mature as any married-for-8-years couple would and we went to the ESPN Zone and played in the arcade for an hour. This was SO fun! We had a great time playing air hockey, football, basketball, driving motorcycles, and Steve even played some hockey. Yes, I know, we're very mature! It was a great time though, we'd go back again in a heartbeat.

GOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!

Finally, it was time for dinner. We went to a delicious restaurant in the Bryant Park Hotel called Koi. It was a wonderful Japanese restaurant. We forgot to get any pictures at the restaurant, but it was a beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere.

It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!

Happy Anniversary! I always know how long you've been married because I remember the announcement I was sent on my mish! I can't believe it's been that long, sometimes! And let me tell you, you look EXACTLY THE SAME! Fabulous as always!
