Saturday we threw a birthday party for our little Emma who is turning the big ONE tomorrow! We had a great time...we had it at Cranbury Park. The weather was just perfect-all week it was saying it was going to be cold and rainy but it ended up being sunny and about 70 degrees.
We had some friends come and celebrate with us. The kids had a great time playing on the playground and the adults had fun chatting and enjoying the muffins and fruit.
We had her open a few presents. She wasn't too interested in unwrapping...luckily there were plenty of other kids there that were present opening experts! We had them all opened up in no time. When I asked Abi a few days before what she wanted to get Emma for her birthday she immediately responded, "A Doll!" She knew exactly what Emma wanted-and she was right...I let Abi pick out a doll and a stroller for Emma, she LOVES them!
We also had a cake. I think this was Emma's favorite part. We kept up with tradition and let Emma just have at it with her first piece of birthday cake. She didn't hesitate even one second, she just dug her cute little fingers right on in. And then her whole hand, and her knee, and her foot...you get the picture!
It was a lot of fun, but I am still wondering-where did the past year go? Has it really already been a year since Emma was born???

Happy Birthday Emma! I can't believe it's been a whole year, wow! I saw her walking at Church on Sunday, she was getting around!
