The Easter Bunny left a trail of eggs starting in the girls' bedroom leading out to their Easter buckets. We were woken that morning by Emma yelling from her crib, "Yellow, blue!" She spotted those eggs quickly. So we went in to their room and let them get started. They were so funny, they'd pick up one egg, open it up, and dump the contents of it onto the floor and move onto the next one...every now and then stopping to eat a jelly bean or chocolate along the way. It was so fun to watch them enjoy this and tear through their goodies that the Easter Bunny left them.

Emma was quite cranky as we got closer and closer to church time, so I ended up taking Abi with me and left Steve home with a sleeping Emma. So we only have a picture of Abi in her Easter outfit, I'll have to get one of Emma next week or something...

After church we headed up to my parent's home for a Lloyd family Easter party. We started out with a yummy dinner and then it was on to the Easter Egg Hunt. The weather cooperated perfectly, so we got to do the hunt in their backyard. It was so fun, the kids had a great time and the dads had done a great job hiding the eggs!

All the Lloyd cousins minus Nathan who is only 5 1/2 months-he skipped the hunt this year :)
All in all it was a great Easter, and we were excited to be able to spend it with family this year, the first time since we've had the girls!
Next week...the Arveseth family Easter Party!

oh I love Easter! We (the Easter bunny) also left an egg trail and Kate found the trail, picked all the eggs up and was playing with her basket before anyone else got up. next year I'm going to have to put a gate up so she lets Taft join her in the fun. Look like a great time!
Great pics! Abi looks so pretty in her Easter Dress.
