Abi's birthday fell on a Saturday this year so we had Steve for the whole day to celebrate. We had been told about a fun place to go where you can cut down your own Christmas Tree and thought that the girls might like to do that. Turned out we were right, it was the perfect thing to do for Abi's birthday.
You get there and hop on a hay ride up to where all the trees are going. Then you search through rows and rows and rows of different kinds of trees until you find the tree that's calling your name. They give you a little hacksaw when you first get there to cut your tree down with. After you cut it down you haul it back up to where the wagon will pick you up, they shake it down to get extra leaves and junk off of it and then send it through a machine that wraps it up for you before you head back down the hill. It was so much fun, I think we're going to have to make this an annual tradition!
Here we all are on the ride up to the trees. Emma wasn't quite sure if she liked it or not.
Us girls (and Jason hiding in the Bjorn)
We found it! The perfect tree...
No Steve!!! You're supposed to cut it at the bottom!
That's better
That's a lot to carry...
But nothing my He-Man can't handle!

That looks and sounds like so much fun! What a great way to spend Abi's birthday. I thought you were going to call Steve your "monkey-man" though.
