Farm Country

Before leaving for Utah I asked Abi what she wanted to do while we were in Utah. She had quite the list and so I decided that since this trip was for the kids I was going to base most of our schedule around this list (luckily Emma's always happy to go along for the ride and usually wants to do what Abi does anyway). One of the very first things she said was she wanted to go to a farm and feed animals and ride a horse. Then I heard that Thanksgiving Point does $2 buck Tuesdays in the month of August-PERFECT!!!

Corrine and her girls were able to come with us (she did have to check her older two out of school and we're SO glad she did). We had a really fun time. Although, when we got there we saw that the regular admission price is only $3.50 and by the time we left we could barely move through the crowd of people so I would recommend paying the extra $1.50 and going on a different day :)
Emma, Lydia, Abi, Aubrey, and Jenna (the babies were there too but didn't make it into the pic)

I've decided that Emma must have a special LOVE for animals. She didn't just look at them, she would talk to them and smile at them and pet them when she could.

"Good horse. Pretty horse!"
Lydia was happy as could be on her horse.

Now Aubs is a natural born cowgirl (see the boots and all?) She got right out there, chose the biggest horse and was ready to ride.
Not sure what happened here, guess I cut Abi's head in half. She was SOOOO happy to FINALLY be riding a real horse! She is in heaven!

As many of them as I could squeeze into one pic. (not sure what happened to my picture of Jenna-sorry!)

Jason waiting patiently for his turn-one day buddy, one day!

The animal whisperer back in action with the turkeys.

Takin' a breather.
We had a great time and will most likely go back the next time we visit Utah (just not on a Tuesday). Thanks for the great idea, Abs!
